Get Ready 4 Kindergarten
- With preschools closed all across the United States, parents are in the challenging position of balancing their family and work lives from home along with educating their own children. Some preschools are providing online support or packages of materials for parents to use, others are not. Even with the support from their child’s preschool staff, parents are finding it hard to plan lessons and gather all the materials they need. Keeping children learning, not just busy is an enormous challenge for parents; at Get Ready 4 Kindergarten, we have your back! Kindercartons are a monthly Preschool in a Box.
- Kindergarten Readiness depends on many things, but one of the most important is your child's ability to communicate. As experienced early childhood educators, we know that communication is the key to your child's ability to fully participate in classroom learning and discussions, in asking for help when needed (physical, social, or academic help), for engaging with other children as an equal, and for sharing their school experiences with you at the end of the day.
- Everything we offer is based on our 5 Building Blocks of Early Learning: Talk, Read, Play, Think, and Do. (you can find out more about the 5 Building Blocks on our website) This approach presents learning in a language-rich, hands-on, experience-based way that helps young children thrive. Success in kindergarten, both academic and social, depends on a chid's ability to communicate.
- Each Kindercarton is carefully curated so that every item and activity in the box connects to the theme of the month. Preschoolers learn best when they can connect new information to something they already know; that’s a difficult thing for a parent to do when you’re pulling things together as fast as you can. GR4K’s Kindercartons are a complete “preschool in a box” experience for your child to share with the family, they are not designed to be used independently by your child.
- Each month’s Math and Language concepts come from GR4K’s Foundations for Early Learning curriculum that is based on individual state preschool expectations and follows the developmental guidelines for the Center for Disease Control/US Department of Education.

So far we have shipped to Canada and England. Cratejoy has always adjusted the shipping charges for us and they've always been right on point. We'd be happy to ship to Hong Kong, it would be up to you to decide if the shipping costs were acceptable.
We can mail the box anywhere, but the shipping and handling charges would be included in the cost for you. Our boxes typically weigh 2 pounds or more as they are quite full; best estimate on shipping is $35./box to Hong Kong. Kindercartons are designed for family use with 3 and 4 year olds. Curriculum is open-ended and can be modified up or down as your children need. Reach out to us if you have specific questions about modifying an activity to better suit your child's strengths. We select a different theme each month and all of our books, activities, vocabulary, recipes, field trip ideas, and crafts are based on that theme. Each month is carefully curated to provide variety throughout the year while focusing on building language and communication confidence.
Your family will absolutely be able to use our box! Our boxes are for parent child engagement, not for children to do alone, so everything could be adapted you meet your child's individual needs. This box has been so helpful to have for my 3.5 year old while I'm homeschooling my 1st grader. My daughter calls this box "her school" so she feels much more included at the table. As a parent this box helps me out immensely because all the crafts are individually packaged so I don't have to scramble to get together supplies while trying to teach my 1st grader, it's like having a teacher's assistant at home. The subscription also includes emails to give other ideas and supplements so you can really stretch the month out. If you need one less thing to stress about, this box will help!

My son’s preschool was shutdown due to COVID-19. I decided to homeschool him and was so glad I found this subscription. We use it as part of his preschool curriculum. There is a theme each month that covers preschool reading, math, writing, science and art. The parent guide has many ideas and suggestions on how to work with your child. The art projects are so cute too. The only suggestion I would make is to add the recipes to the parent guide so it is all in one place. We enjoy this crate.

My three year old loves everything about this getready4kindergarten shipment from the day it arrives (mail just for him is very exciting), to figuring out each little activity, adding monthly words to his vocabulary ring, and every book we've gotten so far (4 months at this point) has been a hit.
