The first box in our Robox subscription gives you all you need to build your very own robot! Put it together with our step-by-step instructions (printable and video!) and write code to make it run.
Order by January 1st to get this box!
Q: Can you explain the difference between the two box options?Asked by Maria C., February 2020
Thanks for asking! The two products are both based on the same Arduino
technology but the robox subscription builds a robot, and then adds on to
it each month. The intro to engineering box makes a series of different
machines, like an alarm, a nightlight, and a stopwatch. Both include
downloadable instructions, coding instruction, and video tutorials The
intro to engineering is generally easier to build, especially early on.
We hope this helps!
Q: Is this box something two children could share, or would you need to order two boxes?Asked by Brianna L., January 2020
All our kits are designed to be taken apart and used over again, so that two children could use it. That said it might be worth it for them each to have their own microcontroller, which comes in the first kit. If you wanted to buy an extra month 1, we could create a coupon to get you 20% off that.

With the third box in a MakeCrate Intro to Engineering subscription, you'll learn to build circuits and write code to run LED matrices and soil moisture sensors. Then you can build a machine that lets you know when the plants need to be watered!
Use and LCD and a keypad to build and code a calculator that can add, subtract, multiply, and divide! This box is 4th in our Intro to Engineering series. All subscriptions include access to our online courses that teach the circuit building and coding skills you need.
With a Robox subscription, you'll send your robot on a new mission each month! In this box, you'll receive ultrasonic sensors, and you'll learn online how to build circuits with them, and write code so that your robot can avoid running into walls.
