Thanks for the question! We have both paperbacks and hardbacks. Most of our books are paperback. We send a survey after you sign up to get more acquainted with your likes and dislikes and if you prefer one or the other you can let us know and we’ll make sure to only send what you prefer.

I got this as a gift for my best friend, she got the same book 2 months in a row.
Love the book mark and stickers, the book is definitely different from what I usually read but I will definitely give it a go!
Unfortunately the book came with the wrapping paper torn off. Not sure what happened there. I’d never heard of the book, but seems interesting. Thanks!
I bought the three-month one subscription, and I didn't have problems with the books exactly, they were a little worn and a bit older than I was expecting but the advertisement on this literally says “Each book comes with a FREE bookmark and sticker! In the three months I received it, I got exactly 0 stickers and 0 bookmarks. So, I cancelled, due to the wear and tear on the older books and the lack of the full promised subscription.

Thanks for reaching out. I’m glad you’ve been enjoying your books. Each book is hand picked by our staff and we try to make sure all of the books are in fairly good condition. We put the stickers and bookmarks just inside the cover of the book inside the wrapping paper with the clues written on it. We double check each book before wrapping it to make sure we haven't forgotten the cute bookmarks and stickers. If that is the case and you have not received them, please email us and we would be happy to send you some stickers and bookmarks. Happy Reading!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. There is nowhere on our shop or listing on Cratejoy that says you would receive more than one book for the $14.99 that you paid for your subscription. This information would have been readily available before purchasing. The $14.99 covers our cost for our labor (we spend quite a bit of our time searching for the perfect books that fit into the chosen genres), the books, shipping, stickers, bookmarks and shipping materials. As an adult reader, I expect to receive books that are curated towards adults. When I receive this book I actually laughed. This is a child’s book. Something that my ten year old niece would enjoy. But as someone who is paying for this monthly I expect better. The ONLY book I have liked since started this subscription was the first book I received. After that the two I’ve gotten haven’t been great. It honestly feels like the person who picked this, did it very last minute and just grabbed a book without even paying attention to what it was and who it was being sent to.

We have you down in our records as wanting YA Fiction, Magic & Fantasy. In the form you filled out you also marked that you did not want to receive any Adult Fiction books. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is classified as Middle Grade/YA, Magic, and Fantasy and is a great classic work not only for children but also for adults ever since its publication in 1865. This was definitely not a last minute choice, but we should have been more careful in sending books that can also...
I have not received this box and wrote that it had not received it and have yet to hear from the company. Until I get this already paid for box, my review is 100% thumbs down. When I looked up the tracker number, it said it had been delivered. Not so!
Hi Kathryn. We emailed you back right away after you emailed us yesterday 1/30. It could be in your spam folder, so definitely check there. I’ll email it to you again and leave my response here. Also, I did just want to add that there is nothing we can do as a company besides replace your shipment if USPS marks it delivered and you haven’t received it. That is something you’d need to speak to USPS about. We did, however, already send you out a brand new book yesterday and we updated the tracking number in your account.
