Q: So with each new box, do you get one item, or more than one? Thanks! Asked by Juliet C., December 2020
Thanks for your question, Juliet! Each #BoneBox includes one real animal skull and one additional small item (examples from past boxes include teeth, ribs, bacula, souvenirs, etc).
Q: Are these able to ship to Canada? If so, are there any extra fees?Asked by Emi M., April 2021
Hi Emi, thank you for your interest in BoneBox! Unfortunately, we can only ship within the United States at this time. However, we do have some natural bone products on our retail site that can be shipped internationally.
Q: When should I expect my first box? I ordered in December, kinda late so I understand not getting it yet, but it looks like I will get charged for the next box before the first one is mailed out. Asked by Maria W., January 2021
Hi Maria, thanks for reaching out about your #BoneBox order! We always ship BoneBoxes the first full week of each month (we ship everyone’s box at once to avoid social media spoilers), so your package is scheduled leave our facility tomorrow (Friday, January 8th). The BoneBox team is preparing the boxes now! Once your shipping label is created, you will receive a tracking number via the email address you provided when you created your account. You will see movement on your tracking once it is scanned by the Postal Service.
Q: Are the animals the specimen come from killed for their bones or killed for another reason? I'm really interested in this subscription, but I would like to know a bit more on how they're acquired.Asked by Ashley C., December 2020
Thank you for your interest in #BoneBox! This is a great question that we get a lot. Our suppliers and their sources obtain osteological material from natural & predator deaths, road kills, food source by-products in exotic regions, legal hunting & trapping operations, and from attrition in zoological gardens. You can be assured of, and take comfort in knowing that your purchase conserves treasures and promotes the ethical utilization of limited resources. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions!

I love the BoneBox! After the first couple boxes arrived, I went out and bought a curio cabinet to display it all. This is by far my favorite box to look forward to every month. Each skull so far has been in excellent shape. I'm pretty sure I'll be subscribed for as long as they provide it.
I love my bone box. I get so excited every month when I see my shipping email and box shortly after. All my specimens have been in perfect condition and the value is insane. Been at it for a year and love everything I’ve received
Awesome. Beautiful specimens
I have been subscribed to Bonebox for a few months now and I absolutely love it! The skulls I have received so far have all been in excellent condition, and the contents of the boxes were all worth more than $25.00. They also include a card in each box that gives interesting facts about the animal whose skull you received, which is a nice touch. This is definitely an awesome investment or gift for any bone enthusiast!!
Great quality and super cool bones and skulls. I’ve never had a problem with my shipments they are Securely packaged.
I've been subscribed to this box for 4 months now hoping that I'd get a wide variety of skulls as seen in 2018-2019 reviews. Unfortunately all I have been receiving are very common small rodent/rodent like skulls. Ex: Mink, Mole, Hamster, and Muskrat. They estimated the price on all the skulls to be in the 20s. Meanwhile I bought a pretty good sized and beautiful coyote skull at a Lewis and Clark fair for under 20 and in the same booth was a similar muskrat skull selling for 10. Overall the quality is pretty good except the Muskrat skull came to me with its jaw disconnected. Shipping is pretty ok but is continuously pushed back 2-3 days from estimated date. Variety is very lacking. Let's just say if they don't change things up soon I'll no longer be subscribed.
This box was ok...... only got 2 items, little disappointing, thought for the price you'd at least get some small related type items along with the bigger pieces..... the quality on the 2 things that were received are good just wish there was more to enjoy...... I'll give it another month and see if this is something I'm going to continue.....
Shark teeth?!?! Are you kidding? Sharks are slaughtered left and right, giving shark teeth is SO INAPPROPRIATE!!! One rodent skull + shark teeth?!? Shame on you! How dare you contribute to shark death. This is so unethical. I wanted to add to my bone/skulll collection but this so not the right way
Had been subscribed since Sep'17, the first box.
As a seasoned collector, you know the quality of their cleaning is superb and usually the boiled and bleached $10 skulls on auction sites don't compare. I hate cleaning X-Small skulls so I felt I really got my money's worth with what ever little critter they sent along. As a bonus, all the other little goodies made great little gifts for my crafty friends. Not everything was perfect of course, a chipped or missing tooth, small broken bone here and there, I still was very happy.
This month received a Pocket Gopher skull and a Raccoon baculum. Gopher had a $35 price tag on it while missing majority of the molars. It couldn’t sit together in the cabinet so I inquired with them about possibly buying replacement teeth for it at least, but unfortunately don't offer those for sale. Also mentioned the skull had a price tag of a Grade A, didn't get any explanation for it, just some copy pasta of what may be in the box that’s posted everywhere. So I assume regardless of the skull’s quality, they’re all labeled the same value so you can win or really lose in the box lottery.
Whether it was mislabeled by mistake or maybe that's what they consider a Grade A for that type, I would've been happy with an actual explanation. They didn't seem to give a gopher’s butt about anything despite a year of loyalty. They offered a refund for returned goods,...
