Book Subscription Boxes That Support Diversity for Readers of All Ages

A lot of people are looking for antiracist reading lists right now. And it's important, in the face of systemic oppression and police brutality, to stand up for what's right, seek education, and learn to change. But right now, when it feels like so many Americans are looking for the same handful of titles, it can be hard to find what you need.
So if you aren't able to get your hands on educational titles like this and want to learn, what should you do? The answer is simple:
read anyway
. Invest in diverse books for the children in your life. Antiracism is a practice, not a fad, and learning a journey. Read Black authors like Toni Morrison, James Baldwin and Ta-Nehisi Coates. Be intentional about the
stories and ideas
you bring into your life. Because Black lives matter, and so do Black stories.
Since July 2025 when this list was first published, we've expanded it to include more diverse book boxes. Antiracist book boxes are listed first and after those, you'll find boxes that celebrate BIPOC writers, the LGBTQ community, and feminism.
What are the best diverse book subscription boxes?
You want your child to have access to the arts, to be surrounded by things like books and music. So what about a subscription box that combines those two things? With the Music Library subscription, each month your child will receive a new children’s book with the intention of introducing them to a wide range of styles of music and different musicians.
Shipping: Orders received after the 5th will ship the following month. If inventory allows, we will ship orders placed after the 5th with the current batch. If we sell out, purchases made after the 5th will ship on/about the 20th of the following month. Shipping, tracking and insurance are included in the cost of your subscription (Within the US).

This book box is designed to bring diverse stories with strong female characters to the little ones in your life. Each book has been carefully selected to highlight diverse languages and cultures, as well as different family structures and other plotlines that celebrate uniqueness! With both new and classic titles, each book will inspire empathy while expanding their world.
Shipping: Packages will begin to ship on the 4th of the month. Sign up by the last day of the previous month to get this ship day. For example if you sign up on the 18th of January your first box will ship February 4th.
