I subscribed to the quarterly subscription. I wasn't sure whether I'd get different items than the monthly subscribers. For anyone with the same question, it turns out you get the regular monthly box for whichever month your quarterly subscription happens to fall on. I subscribed in January, so I got the February box and will presumably get the May box next. My initial impression was that we didn't get much stuff - some black pens, three brush pens and a little notebook. But as I dug in, I realized I was really wrong. The Micron pens are amazing, and I'm really enjoying the huge variety of nibs and the versatility that creates, and with drawing plants the brush pens blend and complement the illustrations very well. It's been pretty meditative to practice drawing succulents and other plants with bold elements and fine detail work and then layer and blend color on top. I'll get a ton of use out of everything in the box and can't wait for May.

I was super excited to try this box but was a little bit underwhelmed when i reveived my first and second box. On the first one, i didn't save any money. I paid exactly for what i got. On the second, ibsavec 1,50$. So it is not really worth it. I would prefer it if it was an actual bargain. I can go to my local store, buy the same things, choose what i want, and pay the same price.

I'm sorry you didn't especially enjoy your box. We do try to offer the best value we can and each box has a higher retail value than what you pay for the box. We understand, however, that in some cases, items can be found individually for less. If a customer already knows what they want to buy, it is probably best to buy it from their local art supply store (please support independent local art stores!), but if they want a curated experience, the chance to try something new, and a surprise, then Paletteful Packs is the way to go.

I was disappointed by the box, unfortunately, because I was looking forward to it and what it had to offer. I don’t recommend getting it.
I’m not saying this subscription company is bad, but for my very first box I was not impressed with what arrived whatsoever. From their past boxes I was pretty hyped about it. I read all of the reviews both bad and good prior to ordering and since the majority of their reviews were good I thought the box would be brimming with exciting stuff! Yeah, that didn’t happen!! I received a box brimming with disappointment. I received 2 double-sided pens, a pack of 10 black felt tip pens (0.15mm-0.7mm), and a notebook. That’s it folks... I almost threw away the 2 double side pens by accident because there was so much shredded paper in my box I had overlooked them. The notebook has nice art on the cover and the pens are good quality.
However I was expecting more color variations/varieties and actually even more product variations. The pens were basically the same pen per se, just different diameters and all of mine were the same color minus 2.
The notebook paper isn’t the best of quality either and the binding of my notebook was already coming undone. I’m glad I did a one time box instead of a subscription, because I did not find the contents of the box to be worthy of a subscription to be honest.

I’m not saying this company is bad, but for my first box I’m pretty disappointed with what arrived.
From their past boxes I was pretty excited. And I read the bad reviews before I ordered. Because most of their reviews are good I thought it would be great!
But I’m just disappointed. I’ll wait and see what next month’s box is before I cancel my subscription at least.
I got 3 green double-sided pens, a pack of 10 black felt tip pens (0.15mm-0.7mm), and a notebook.
The notebook art is pretty, and the pens are good quality.
But I was expecting more color variation. And even more product variation. Like even if it was all pens, maybe like 4 different brands of pens. Not just 2 brands: 10 of almost the same pen, and 3 of almost the same pen.
The notebook paper isn’t the best quality either. I would use it more for calligraphy with a fountain pen.

Highly disappointed and underwhelmed. As an artist I subscribed to Palettefu Premier Pack, as an opportunity to try new art supplies. I was very excited to receive this premier box. However I feel duped! This February box includes 3 green Tomboy markers (two of which I already have), a pack of 10 black micron fine liners, and sketchbook of flimsy paper. The most exciting thing is the purple crinkle paper. This box lacked variety and was a waste. I suppose it would be great for next month, March, if I want to draw a lot of green clovers. However, I will have to use a different paper if I don't want it to bleed through.
