I'll admit I am a bit disappointed with my first craft box from Cratejoy. It is for either a charcuterie board or you can make the board a chalkboard welcome sign. It is completely plan, just a board, some stain, a brush and some round cut outs. Nothing crafty about it in my opinion. Maybe for a child? I decided to do my own version of craftiness with it but this could have easily included a stencil or something to personalize your board, or cute and creative hardware to add something different to it. Not sure I would purchase this again.
I’ve received two boxes so far and both were very basic. The second was a coloring kit. I can buy my own markers. I signed up for unique and interesting crafts. Where are all of the crafts advertised with this box? This is not at all the same level of quality I saw in those examples. I can take the same amount of money to the craft store and find something better.
I was very disappointed with my first kit. The craft is very juvenile and not the greatest quality. Definitely not worth the price.
It was similar to box craft subscriptions I get for my 8 year old.
Good idea but Instructions are very minimal. Supporting YouTube video is not helpful.
I received my first Adults and Crafts curated box. I had waited with excited anticipation for this new subscription to arrive. I had seen a few sneak peeks and it looked good. It finally arrived. I opened my box and found one wood burner with just the one nib, a tiny square thin piece of balsa wood and one oval tree disc. And a sheet of instructions and a pencil - that’s it. That’s was all. For $35 plus $20 shipping - $55. Underwhelmed - very. Disappointed- absolutely. Ripped off? Completely. Even at $35 ( US funds) a complete waste for f money. I had heard and seen such good boxes. With mine I could burn a pattern on my ONE PIECE OF WOOD. For $10 CAD funds I could buy the wood burner, add $5 and have a whole set of nibs as well. For $1.25CAD I could buy the wood at the dollar store. So in US funds the value of my curated box is approx $10 - am I missing something? Did half my box not get packed? That was it - a piece of wood and a wood burning handtool. ( which btw, I already own a significantly better one with multiple nibs for different burns. ). This was the WORST SUBSCRIPTION BOX I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Not worth it. It’s a 15 minute craft at best. I received my very first wood...
UPDATE: The seller has been very nice about the whole thing and definitely tries to remedy the situation. He went above and beyond to try to make things right. Customer Service is a 5 star for sure and he took my criticism well and to heart. The shipping issues may have been a fluke for me - I don't know but they are responsive to everything.

This was bought as a gift for someone. Both months there was shipping problems. The owner made right by refunding part of the cost both months. So that is good. When items arrived, I anticipated the month's advertised on the instagram, but she received a box from months ago. Weaving from 20 weeks prior compared to painting a wood circle. I read prior complaint of the weaving being smaller than anticipated - and pictures provided did not have anything next to it to show size comparison. I sucked that up as no promises were made you would get current box - even though the current months box was cute. I'm not sure what is in this month's box, but Instagram shows embroidery - that is something I can buy my grandkids at Walmart or anyone for that matter for 6-10 bucks. I would hope there would be something 'extra' put in there to kick that craft up to 'adults and crafts' worthy of the $33 to make you feel you are getting something unique...
Very disappointed in he craft. It is not attractive at all. I will be sending back.
I want to do something other than just paint wood.
Not much for the money
The delivery address was incorrect and I contact the seller using the app survey but I haven’t received yet a response and several box are pending to delivery.
I was exciting to gift these craft boxes to a friend but I wouldn’t know if they can delivery. I hope that Cratejoy can contact me soon to solve the issue.
I’m updating the post because Cratejoy contacted me! Thank you! I’m going to process to see how they can help me.
I was really expecting a better curated box. There is really nothing wrong with a pegboard, but it doesn't spark creativity. There's really no usefulness to it. I feel my money is better spent finding a kit on etsy or looking at pinterest and putting together something myself. I was really excited about getting a surprise kit that we could do together, but if its going to be boring, unexciting, useless projects then its not worth it.
Hello Stephanie!
First off thank you very much for your feedback. As a small start-up, feedback like this really helps us out. We do understand that not everyone is going to love every craft, it's just the nature of the business. We just sent you an email to give you some options to help get a craft you like!
As for the project, we picked the pegboard this month because we believe it is a fun, functional, and not extremely time-consuming. Last month our project took most people 4+ hours to complete so we wanted to mix it up this month. Also, we change our kits up so every month is completely different than the next. For example, this month we are doing an Engraving kit that...
