I was a bit skeptical of what book I might get since Im heavily into fantasy but I loved the idea of a book box including self care items! The book design is absolutely stunning, my significant other and I had the best reaction seeing all the detail and feeling like we got our first custom book! Thank you for putting care into this box, I’m not sure if this counted as the welcome box? But I love it either way.

I just received the welcome box and everything is so great!! I was somewhat surprised that I received such cool stuff in "just" a welcome box...my bad for underestimating it. Looking forward to the next couple, I think you can opt to find out what's in it, but I chose to just read the hints because I'd like to be surprised.

Can't wait to get more boxes. I am so looking forward to reading this book, and drinking that coffee. The scent of the bath bubble elixir is great! this box was so packed with awesome gifts.

I received this box as a gift for my birthday from my daughter.
I really loved it. I am sad my subscription has ended but I plan to sign up again ASAP!
I got three boxes. Each came with a hardcover book that had some unique designs.I'd never seen books like this before, so it was so neat to get this each month. Asides from the book, you get some really nice items that are a combination or self-care and household items like soaps, lotions, shower things, smelly stuff, candles... and then other things for your kitchen or home or purse. My favourite was a travel mug that I use every day.
This makes a great present and I can't wait to buy myself more and maybe some for Christmas this year for my friends.

I love books and am so far loving the first 2 boxes arrive first week of the month. Got some cool things in my boxes. Sad I missed the night circus box. It's my favorite book. Hoping I haven't missed Sara j mass stuff lol. But loving it

WOW WOW WOW! I received my Welcome Box really fast - which was fantastic. My next box had an absolutely beautiful book with stenciled edges. I am afraid to touch it it's so beautiful! I wound up getting the book on Kindle instead and it's really good. The items were so lovely as well. I am getting the YA box for my daughter!

While I didn’t get the book I thought I was getting, I loved the box nonetheless! The products that come in it are well made and it’s completely worth the money! This is my first book box subscription and I am definitely not disappointed! Thank you Cratejoy and Unplugged!!!

UPDATED REVIEW: I have revised my ratings from my initial review. (See below.)
While I stand by everything I said then, I need to let you all know that after I talked with the fine people who provide this resource, I am more than satisfied with the resolution they provided.
They understood that the first box received was not to our liking, and we didn't want to take a chance on the following box. Understandably, they were disappointed with our decision, but they did not argue with me, nor did they try to convince me to stay. I returned the box with all the items in the same condition as I received them, they terminated my subscription, and I received a complete refund! I have now awarded them five stars in all categories.
While that first box wasn't what we were looking for, I think many other customers will find this well worth their time.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Pray forgive my somewhat flustered demeanor, but I must confess that I recently purchased a three-month subscription as a gift for my dear wife for the festive season. Upon receiving the first box, which arrived promptly and was well-packaged, I must admit that I am not looking forward to the next one. The box smelled amazing before I even opened it. The items inside were all lovely, will all be used, were all interesting and while I may not have picked them out myself, I love the I have them. The book was not one on my TBR list but after reading the synopsis I was glad to have it on my bookshelf, I'm looking forward to devouring it. The box was carefully assembled and clearly done was affection, things were safe and the theme obvious. I'm a happy recipient and will be renewing my subscription! Recommend!

The best book box on cratejoy! I've tried almost all of them and I keep coming back to Unplugged. They seem to offer the most value for your money, are very communicative, and have great book picks! I've gotten candles, lotions, bath products, bags, mugs, blankets, tea, journals, pens, coffee, kitchenware items, coasters, alarm clocks, decorative goodies, and so much more! Every box has been very good and very unique. They had a delay this month but have been very open and communicative about it and I know it's worth the wait! Other boxes, I wind up throwing most of it away or its poor quality or junk that sits around. So I just love that it's all stuff I can use!

Unplugged Book Box is legit one of my favourite subscription boxes. Not only do we get beautiful, thoughtful, and *useful* self-care products with every box, but the team is also amazing, focused on supporting small business, mental health, and featuring marginalized authors, in and outside of the boxes. Not to mention, they’re also totally on the ball with their customer service and keeping you up to date with any information!!
The usefulness of the items is a very big point for me, because even if you don’t like the fandom, you still end up using the product instead of it just collecting up. Just from the October box, we have soap, room spray, a wall hook, and even a seasonal candle to use. Of course we still get bookish box staples like bookshelves and pins, which are always gorgeous, but my faves are still the usable self-care products!
I’ve had an incredible experience with Unplugged and would recommend this box (Adult or YA) to anyone looking for a wonderful gift this holiday season!

Really nice box. Bought my daughter the Young Adult and myself the Adult Fiction. Both boxes have impressed us and it's a great way to bond. We can use our self-care items or go out to the park and relax in the sun with our new books! Lovely gift and present to yourself.

WOW! Just got my first box and it was GREAT! The book looks fun and enjoyable and this box included a really nice candle, a cute little soap, a lotion bar, a beautiful tapestry/sheet that can be used at the beach or or picnic, and a mug warmer that is SO pretty and works great!! Totally worth it, especially when you compare this to some of the other book boxes. They have great value and everything is usable!

I really do love this box, I have had to unsubscribe but that was do to personal stuff, darn. Its worth every penny I spent. They structured the box with fun items to go along with the theme of the month and I looked forward to it, the mugs, the teas, I even got a fantastic blanket, and OMG the socks! on top of a great selection of books. thank you guys
