Hi there, I’m Kirsten, the face and flour-covered hands behind Friendly Flours! My love for being in the kitchen started when I was about knee-high and my mom would always give me the beaters so I could lick the batter off. As I’ve gotten older, my passion for baking has grown with me. Recently, life decided to throw me a curveball, as it does, and I began to notice that my body wasn’t on board with some of my favorite foods anymore. Bread is my love language, so finding out that I shouldn’t eat it anymore was hard. But you know what? Challenge accepted! I started my mission to relearn the art of creating delicious food without gluten. It didn’t always go to plan, but every disaster was a lesson, and every success was a triumph! Out of this journey, Friendly Flours kneaded its way into existence! I imagined a subscription box, just like so many out there celebrating the joy of baking, but minus the gluten. So, each month I create a delicious recipe that captures the essence of what baking means to me - love, comfort, and dash of creativity.
