HEY KIDS COMICS! started as a father & son operation on the streets of Brooklyn in 2020. Sidewalk bookselling is a longstanding tradition in New York City, so on nice weekend days we started dragging boxes of comics & graphic novels out to a neighborhood park. We had a blast spending the day talking about comics with kids and grown ups alike, recommending our favorite books, and getting schooled by neighborhood kids on what they do and don’t like.

When winter hit, we missed being able to put the latest & greatest kids graphic novels in people’s hands, and that’s when we decided we should start a club, sending our members across the country a new hand-picked graphic novel each month along with a members-only HEY KIDS COMICS! zine.

And so here we are, happily digging through the hundreds of new releases coming out each month in search of the one that we think you and your family will enjoy. If you're ever in Brooklyn, please come see us at the Hey Kids Comics! store, which opened in October, 2021!
