This month is all about soft pastels! Our August 2020 Premium box features a 5-set of Rembrandt soft pastels in red earth. We love this color palette for florals, landscapes, and moody subject matter. To expand on this palette, we added two Schmincke soft pastels in titanium yellow and colbalt blue. For outlines and highlights, we included a Bruynzeel pastel pencil in black and a Caran d'Ache pastel pencil in bismouth white. We wanted to add a high-quality and precise way of blending so we included an oval and flat knife set from pastel specialists Sofft Tools. To put your pastels to paper, we included TWO surfaces in this month's Premium box. The first is custom 4x9" sanded pastel paper by UART. This paper is specifically made to work with soft pastels and has a 400 sand grit to catch the powdery pastel pigments. We also included a velour sample set from Hahnemhule. We worked with Hahmemhule to bring you this custom set of velour toned papers. The texture is pure bliss when working with the pastels. Feel it to believe it!
