Our March 2017 Premium Box focused on unique ink! It was curated to work well with your January 2017 box, and an upcoming box.
First it included the Liquitex Acrylic ink in muted pink from their limited edition muted collection. We fell in love with this acrylic ink immediately for
its beautiful color and versatility. Since it’s an acrylic
ink it can be used with other acrylics with ease.
Liquitex Inks are extremely fluid, water resistant,
permanent and so lightfast they’ll go down in history.
Ideal for watercolor effects you can water the ink down
to create transparent washes, or stamp it. While testing
this product we loved laying down large areas of ink
and creating detail with white highlights. Laying down
multiple layers will create a deep intense color. We also included a Sakura Pentouch extra fine in white. These paint markers feature low odor, archival quality
ink that is chemically stable, xylene-free, waterproof
and fade resistant. The rich, opaque ink flows directly
to the tip after a quick shake. They’re perfect for
adding details or entire scenes and portraits over a
muted ink background. We also included a Princeton 1/4" Neptune Dagger brush. It's Princeton’s thirstiest brush! It soaks up incredible
amounts of ink and water, making it perfect for this
month’s box. More durable than squirrel hair (the gold
standard for watercolor) it’s soft and supple with an
even release of color. Finally we included Fabriano Watercolor postcards. The 20 cards bound into Fabriano's handy postcard
pad are made with 25% cotton contentd and feature
a 140 lb (300 gsm), acid-free, cold press surface that is
ideal for this month’s ink. If you’ve been with us since
January they also work incredibly well with your
metallic watercolors.
