February 2024
February's Box will teach you how to start tomato seeds, inside! This box will include two varieties of Certified Organic tomato seeds (one bush tomato and one cherry tomato) - both ideal for growing in containers, raised beds, and in the ground. Two plant tags to keep track of your progress. Plus a seeding tray with vented greenhouse dome, grow light bulbs to fit any lamp / light source, and expandable seeding pods.
March 2024
In March, The Patio Farmer Box will give you tools and supplies to grow Certified Organic lettuce at home, no matter what size space you have. The Box includes seeds for both head lettuce, and leaf lettuce. Throughout the month of March, you'll learn the in's and out's of growing both kinds of lettuce from seed, plus learn how to harvest, store, and maintain healthy plants throughout the spring. Lettuce set-up for food growing success this spring!
April 2024
In April, The Patio Farmer Box will give you tools and supplies to grow Certified Organic rainbow carrots at home, no matter what size space you have. The Box includes seeds for both rainbow and orange carrots. Throughout the month of April, you'll learn the secret to grow big, healthy, carrots at home, even in pots! You'll also learn how to harvest, store, and maintain carrot plants throughout the spring. There is nothing more exciting than harvesting bright roots!
May 2024
In May, The Patio Farmer Box will focus on teaching you how to grow zucchini and summer squash at home, no matter what size space you have. The Box includes seeds for two types of zucchini and summer squash. These summer favorites can be a little finicky if you don't know what you're doing. Especially when it comes to pest and disease control. But don't you worry, The Patio Farmer is here to set you up with the tools (in the box) you need to be successful this summer.
June 2024
In June, The Patio Farmer Box will focus on teaching you how to grow edible flowers at home, no matter what size space you have. The Box includes seeds for marigolds, bachelor button and nasturtium! These can be added to your existing space as a form of companion planting. There are three tools also included with this box including chili flake, windchimes, and a book on growing edible flowers. You'll learn more about these tools and why they were included with flowers!
July 2024
This month's box features green beans as the crop of choice as beans are great summer growers and can be easily seeded in any gaps or spaces that open up in the summer. Beans also build nitrogen in the soil, and do not take up a lot of space, making them perfect for July sowing. Included in the box are two tools to help you manage MOISTURE in your soil -- a 3-in-1 moisture, pH and light meter plus a rain gauge. A thumb knife is also included for easy summer harvesting!
August 2024
Kale yeah! This month, subscribers will have the opportunity to grow two varieties of heirloom kale, at home. Kale is a wonderful cool weather crop that is great for small spaces, and big spaces alike! It is easy to start from seed and once established, you can harvest from the plants over and over again. Kale loves growing in the cooler months. Kale does not require frost protection in winter.
September 2024
Grow the CUTEST vegetable ever! This month, subscribers will have the opportunity to grow purple kohlrabi at home. Kohlrabi is German for "cabbage turnip" and looks like an adorable Dr. Seuss creation. It is a delightful, and unique, addition to any cool weather growing space. Kohlrabi can be cooked or eaten raw. It tastes like cabbage but with the texture of an apple (when eaten raw) or a potato (when cooked). Kohlrabi gets a 10/10 recommendation from The Patio Farmer!
