All the consumer needs to do is just add their booze. We would love to be able to offer Alcohol in the kits, but unfortunately we don't have the liquor license to be able to do so at this time.
We offer variety in our Cocktail Kits. That means, you have the ability to control your experience. We’ll offer up Spirit suggestions to help craft the perfect Cocktails but ultimately, we want you to be able to make your decision for product selections. I've really enjoyed all the boxes I've received from BotR since I joined back in October. I know a lot of people question the lack of booze in the boxes, but I actually like it because I have the option to choose their recommended spirits OR I can go with brands/liquors I already have a preference for. I particularly like the addition of unique ingredients; for example, the box I currently have came with a dry ice cream mix from a company called Hijinx. I'm always looking for ways to make ice cream at home so I can get crazy and fun with my own flavor options. Now that I know about this stuff, I'm sure I'll order it in the future to try making all sorts of frozen goodies!
Speaking of the current box, I got the Vacation Kit, and I thought January's box would be the Dry January kit. I could be off a month (meaning the Vacation kit I received in this last shipping was technically the December box), but I've had a little cognitive dissonance about it. Lol. It's definitely not a complaint- I've loved every kit I've received so far- I just was a bit confused at first when I opened my box! Anyway, this subscription is definitely in my favorites! I love opening a new box each month to see what goodies I've been sent. Thanks, y'all! :)

For $48 + shipping this is a complete ripoff. My box came with $20 of stuff in it - most of which I already had around my house (jigger, lemon juice, craisins, stick cinnamon). NO ALCOHOL is included. Now that I am re-reading their description I see that it does say that; so the misunderstanding is on me. But that doesn't excuse the fact that this box has a markup of 150% the cost of goods included, and doesn't even include shipping. At this point I've already spent like $55, and I've got 3 themed drink recipes that I'm not even that excited about, and don't even have the main ingredients to make. NEVER doing this again.

Let me start out by saying we have ordered other boxes from a different company in the past. This box is a million times better and that is just after 2 boxes. Our first box was tropical margaritas, they were all so good. Our current box is dessert martinis. When I got the email about this box, I was afraid they would be too sweet, but I can honestly say that this has been our favorite box BY FAR. The best thing about this box is the normal ingredients. If you really like a specific drink, all of the ingredients can be easily ordered online, or picked up in your local store. That is a huge plus for me. Our past subscription had obscure ingredients you could not find anywhere.
