- Items include physical objects to manipulate and solve, puzzles, ciphers, hints, stories, and plenty of material to contemplate. Additional resources include in-theme recipes and drink cards, suggested playlists, and other goodies
- Unique story-lines that can continue from box to box, but every box has a definite and satisfying ending. You will meet a host of characters from literature and history that will help guide you through your adventure.
- The boxes contain plenty of items, and no puzzle will require an internet search or outside knowledge. Everything is contained within the box but the internet is required to check codes and progress in the game. NOTE: Games are usually shipped in a themed box that says the game name and The Conundrum Box on it. Due to supply issues caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, at times we may have to substitute a generic shipping box. The game within is completely the same.
- 1.5 - 3 hours of unique gameplay centered around fun themes and immersive puzzles. International Shipping is available, but due to the current pandemic, shipping overseas tends to be longer than usual. The price of the subscription does not include any taxes or tariffs that a country may charge, those are the responsibility of the recipient.

It’s not my favorite thing to pass away my chill time. I’m sorry - I don’t have the brain power/desire for such intricate puzzles. I’m a card play, puzzler, gardener, and a few other hobby interests. This was a gift given lovingly and thoughtfully by my daughter. She has agreed to do the rest of the remaining boxes she paid for. Good job in the product - I just don’t have the patience!

Worst customer service ever. I was a repeat customer and expected to continue being, but the lack of customer service ended it.
Most interesting that I specifically asked for that email to be forwarded to me and it wasn't, and hasn't been, but their response was written and posted ASAP. Yeah, I think I received and replied to every email that was actually sent to me. I never got the email that was never sent, so I had no way of knowing they didn't have my full billing address, which I provided when I ordered. And of course you heard from me when I actually received another email. See how that works?
AND THEN they chose to default to the one option their customer didn’t want: to continue the shipments to the original address. The only thing I asked them to stop is precisely what they did. Could have just not shipped anything and waited for me to contact them about that. Could have done what I asked for originally and cancelled the rest of the shipments. But no, we'll act as if no contact from our customer ever took place.
And you know what else? My BF likes these things, so I likely would have kept ordering for us in place of my family members who now have dementia and are upset by the mere arrival of this. Again, an already repeat customer, converting to a continued repeat.
These fails are not mine. Save your condescension for yourselves, where it belongs.

Hello Linda, thank you for your feedback. We replied back to your emails within 24 hours, and most of the time within just a few hours. You had a situation where you didn't want to send the order to the original recipient anymore, and we offered to send the remaining boxes elsewhere for you. You agreed to this but only gave us half an address back on February 14th, on February 15th we responded and asked for the rest of the address. We never received any further communication from you until after we shipped the last box. Without confirmation of where you would have liked the box shipped to, we sent it to the original address. You still have one more box...

I wanted to love this box. Got a 3-month subscription. I was disappointed every time. The stories are fun, some of the puzzles are fun. I LOVE the extra content online. Everything is overly complicated, though. Many puzzles have 3-4 components to them instead of 1-2. My husband and I have not been able to complete a box in under 3 hours, even with the final hint before the answer is provided on more than 1 puzzle.
The stories are overly complicated as well. It feels forced rather than unfolding naturally like other boxes we’ve tried.
If you’re not an expert puzzle-solver, or you mind reading most of the hints, this box may not be for you.

We got our first box in a few weeks ago and kinda put it off- I wasn’t expecting much- I have done “real” escape rooms, we have gone sky diving and lots of “extreme” dates so what could this little box possibly have to offer?! Answer: More than you’d ever expect! This is so well put together and thought out. We sat down on the couch with some printer paper and after the first 20 minutes we were hooked! We turned the living room into a detective office and had an absolutely amazing time. This allowed us to really reconnect on levels that you don’t get to when you’re both working from home and parenting and going thru the motions of what we have called life for the past year or so of lockdowns and general world chaos. We got to really see and appreciate first hand so many reasons we fell in love- intelligence, cleverness and teamwork. Thank you to the creators for helping us have an amazing 11th anniversary! We woke up this morning with a different kinda mindset towards each other- one that you can not get from watching netflix together for the 700th night in a row. We cant wait for the next box- and knowing that even if the world shuts down again and we are here with our kiddo we have a date planned that nothing can take from us.
