Q: Why is shipping so expensive? It's over half the cost of the subscription to ship it to Oregon. Asked by Savannah P., February 2020
Thank you for your interest in our box.
Shipping is automatically calculated by USPS based on location, for a box
weighing 2 lb 10oz.
Our boxes usually weigh between 3-4lbs, and we cover this additional cost
in shipping. If you’re signing up for a 3/6/12 month plan, shipping is only
charged the one time at sign-up. I hope this helps!
Q: I was wondering if the tea / coffee was flavored? I mean like chai tea or hazelnut coffee, vanilla, etc or if it's just normal.Asked by Casimir A., February 2020
We like to rotate between different tea flavors with each new box (black
blends, sometimes fruity, smoky etc). However, the coffees we select are
always unflavored. Instead, we vary the coffee offerings by sending
different roast levels, mixing between single origins or blends, and
finding coffees from different regions.
Q: Are the books hardcover or paperback?Asked by Kitten G., July 2019
Thanks so much for reaching out!
They are a mix, but we do try to get the hardcover version whenever
Let me known if you have any other questions.
Thanks for such a fun and interesting box! I love books, I love coffee, I have fallen in love with the Viking candy and I even like the bear coasters. I enjoyed everything, and enjoyed that you are trying to support smaller businesses with our hobbies and interests. So excited to see what comes next month!
STILL one of my FAVE boxes! Books are great this time and coffee is superb!

I received a box as a Christmas gift and I LOVE it. It’s packaged beautifully, and there was a generous portion of loose tea, a beautiful set of two quality coasters, some delicious sour gummies, and a really good book. Super happy. Thank you!!!
I love my first box, and can't wait for my July box!!!! The coffee is amazing, and I can't wait to dive into the book! cute packaging, thanks again! A great combination of my two favorite things, coffee and books!
February Theme: Beats & Blades Our book next month will be an epic fantasy (think game of thrones), with a lot of magic, creatures, and a nice dose of vengeance. It’s the first in series, and hardcover. We’re also partnering with a new coffee shop, opening Feb. 1.
January's box features a book that artfully combines lore, curses, and mythical creatures. Each item, including the coffee and tea, will be selected to match this theme. Orders placed between Dec.7 - Jan. 5 will receive this box.
This theme was inspired both by the happenings in this story, and the sheer length of the book. Featuring The Witchwood Crown, by Tad Williams. This book was reviewed by renowned authors George R. R. Martin & Christopher Paolini. It’s quite long, and will keep you busy as the darkness of fall nights creep in ahead of winter. The bonus item is a layflat journal: a smooth, water resistant outside with a beautiful foil detail. Choice of Colombian coffee or black tea.
This book box features: In the Region of the Summer Stars, by Stephen R. Lawhead. For our tea drinkers: you have two teas to try! Black Summer & Irish Breakfast, crafted by Loose Leaf Tea Co. For our coffee lovers, you’ll find Highlands Blend coffee by Vienna Coffee Company. We cannot say enough nice things about this coffee! It smells amazing, and tastes even better! The bonus item is a handmade, custom large book sleeve designed and made by @createdbyraemn.
March’s box is all about celebrating those who are stepping out and taking a risk! We’ll be curating items based on the overall theme of taking a risk. The book this month will be a new release paperback, of an independently published Fantasy, coming out at the end of February! We’re also looking forward to working with some new businesses, who strive to try new things, and create new products (or blends) to push the envelope.
