Q: Are the pieces being sent made in the other countries? Or are they just items like what is sold in the other countries? Are boxes helping more than just 10% the other countries? Asked by Tricia R., October 2020
Yes, all products in the boxes are handcrafted by families around the world to empower them to break out of poverty. We partner with artisan groups and families to create jobs and a marketplace for their handmade products. The products feature materials common to different regions in the world, recycled materials, and/or the skills and craftsmanship that is unique for different parts of the world.
For instance, our India boxes tend to feature ornate jewelry common in their culture, while our Ecuador boxes tend to feature renewable resources such as tagua and jungle seeds. So, both box options are creating sustainable income for families in poverty and the Box of Blessings also donates 10% to poverty fighting causes.

Q: Hi there! If we choose the "Favorite of the Month" option, is it more likely to be a piece of jewelry or another accessory? I'm more interested in jewelry than the other items (bags, figurines, etc.).Asked by Sara D., June 2020
Hi! It is most likely to be a piece of jewelry - earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace are the most common. We did do a bag in June, but that doesn't happen often. THANKS for asking!
Q: I am trying to subscribe to the smaller box for three months. It said the transaction didn’t go through but yet my card was charged. Please fix this, so I don’t have to cancel the charge. Asked by Halie V., March 2020
Hi,
It looks like your cards zipcode failed validation and no subscription was purchased. I'm not sure why your card would say it was charged, have you checked your cards statement to verify that it actually charged your account? I sent you an email with further information and will continue to look into this as I hear back from you. Thank you for considering a subscription that empowers families around the world!
Q: i would like to buy a 3 month subscription as a gift - but after the 3rd month do i have to manually cancel the subscription or will it end on its own? Asked by Catherine A., December 2019
Hi! When you order a gift subscription, there will be an option on the checkout page that you can click so that your subscription will not renew.
Otherwise, you can manually cancel or email using the Contact Seller button on our listing and I would be glad to help you!
What a nice box! I ordered it to help others and look forward to the next box!!!
Beautiful handmade gifts that my mother loved!
Bought it as a gift for as family member. She loved getting her box of beautifully crafted surprises.
I used the Contact Seller button to get in touch with Int’l Blessings because I forgot to put the apt number on a gift and USPS couldn’t deliver it. Not only did they reply to me promptly, but they sent out a replacement box very quickly so that my mom wouldn’t have to wait for her gift.
A great mission, a great idea, and being run by great folks.
I’ll update this review with a photo once she gets it!
I really enjoy this subscription box - I have the Favorite of the Month and it's just enough to keep things fresh and exciting. Sarah usually sends a piece of jewelry and a trinket - a hand-carved gourd animal, a tagua nut keychain, or (the latest) a precious stone turtle. Once, I even received a large, sturdy cloth messenger bag. But my favorites are the jewelry pieces. They have all been high quality: sometimes silver pieces, sometimes hand-rolled paper beads. Plus, you're helping others help themselves with your purchase.
At some point (and this isn't Sarah's fault), the pieces start to feel like they repeat (I have sooooo many nut/paper bead bracelets and necklaces, lol), but I think that is the nature of fair trade jewelry. The pieces are quality, so I can easily gift them. To that end, it would be nice if the info card that came with the box didn't have the name of the subscription box on it; I always want to include the card, but I don't necessarily want anyone to know I am gifting something I am not keeping. Maybe make it a half fold card?
I've been introduced to several fair trade jewelry sources thanks to this box.
Don't forget to follow International Blessings on Facebook...Sarah hosted a moving sale this summer and I picked up a ton of fantastic pieces that I'd missed from previous boxes, including two pairs of colorful thread woven earrings, three pairs of silver/gemstone earrings, and a beautiful silver woven braid...
I gasped with each piece I opened. They are lovely, unique and I can see many occasions to wear them!
Excited for more!!
Love everything that comes with this box and love knowing I’m helping the less fortunate.
I bought as gift for my sister - she said she loved it.
This box is great and variety
