I received one tiny cutting of a decent looking succulent, and then 4 tiny cuttings of a scraggly looking succulent, which were wrapped in 2 pieces of newspaper. For $6 plus shipping, I could have bought two healthy succulents of this size that are actually rooted and potted.
Originally got this as a 3-month Mother's Day gift, but my mom called me after the first month to say she didn't want any more plants "like that." I didn't ask, just assumed she was grumpy and happily changed the delivery address to my own.
After receiving month #2, I see what my she meant. The pot is very cute, and the succulent is probably fine, but I (foolishly?) assumed dirt/cactus soil would be included. The pot is very small, and a tiny bag of dirt would go a long way. I don't have dirt, that's why I buy tiny plants online. So kind of a disappointment, especially with the pricey shipping. Will not renew.
This matters a lot less, but presentation was also poor - the care/planting instructions were stripey, like the printer nearly out of ink. I don't mind using newspaper for packaging, which is mentioned on some other reviews. Recycle reduce reuse!
I recieved my first month and for the price the plant and the pot are pretty cheap looking I could find something like this at the 99cent store not satisfied
The packaging of the succulents themselves is not good! They would be much better if they included a small bag of cactus type soil. some you cannot tell which end is supposed to be planted ! Please include better instructions for each set you send, instead of a generic instruction. Thanks
Have not recieved it yet.
The little succulents were all in cute little frog pot that even had a drainage hole! My only complaint is that there were a lot of little bugs in the bag that contained the succulents. I had to leave it outside for a minute. The packaging was also not very nice and very amateur. Otherwise, I love it! They sit on my kitchen windowsill with all the other plants are are so adorable.
Received a broken pot twice, refusing to refund my money for the broken one. Awful communication and very unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Received my second Succulent box. My pot was COMPLETELY shattered.
So much fun to make its easy and turned out beautifully
My first 2 cuttings are flourishing.
My second 2 cuttings were a but of a disappoint but I am optimistic.
The cuttings I received today are beautiful.
I love my succukents!
The idea is cute but the cuttings are tiny, sad pieces crumbled into newspapers in a box. Succulents have no naming or descriptions. I’d rather waste my money elsewhere.
Last subscription box, came in all damaged, didn't have good protection, one page torn in half. Apparently they don't care about customers safistications but $ they make off our succie passions. We'd better off Facebook trading group. Unsubscribing.
In an ugly planter. Really disappointed. Cancelling.
Paid for cuttings and plant. Got two tiny mundane cuttings. Disappointed. Not worth it.
I have a hard tim getting them to grow from cuttings. The ones from my first shipment all died. Yet the ones I bought through another box that were already rooted are alive and doing great.
Got my first plant today . Love it !!!!
I received my first monthly shipment today and I absolutely love it. The little pot is of a frog and the cuttings fit in the pot perfectly.
This is a fun little subscription. Started out as a "I'm only going to subscribe until I can create a cool little succulent planter", but I'm long past that now. It has been several months, no repeats and cuttings arrive looking good and healthy. I believe I've succeeded in getting 95% of the cutting to take root, which is quite a feat given that I live in Portland, Oregon.
Thank you so much! I ordered my mother a subscription box for Mothers day this year and I think it is probably her favorite gift. She absolutely loved it and I loved how easy you guys were to work with, how quickly it was shipped out and how much she liked it!
Succulents lovers was a huge hit with me. I received 3 of the healthiest cutting and a really cute pink pig planter. There was also care instructions in the box. I was really happy with my order.
My new little succulent arrived yesterday in the little box. The box had been turned around a little so there was dirt all over. The little flowers in the pot were kind of in a mess but it was easy to fix. Over all I like received the little flowers each month, they are sent in a cute little pot.
My succulents came quickly and were very healthy looking, I was expecting just 2 cuttings but had 4! Three of one kind and one of the other! There were detailed instructions on how to propagate and I'm looking forward to seeing them grow. If there was one thing I had to say as far as suggestions go, I would just say I would have liked to know the names of the succulents the cuttings came from so I could look it up. Other than that. Perfection all the way around and I'm already looking forward to next months cuttings.
I have been subscribed to the cuttings box for 2 months now. I have been sent 2 different kinds but one of the plants Ive had 2 extras of that particular kind. The first month it was of a type of plant that was difficult to keep so I appreciated that. Still waiting to plant the others. Overall I really love this box so far.
For those who do not know how to handle cacti or succulents there are famtastic instructions and while the types of succulents I received were not listed it is easy enough to figure it out.
I've done three months now, and gotten different cuttings every time. I've only had one fail to root - the others all did, and I got extra plants out of the fallen leaves. It's been worth it for me.
