Kids Book Club Ideas
Starting a reading club is easier than ever, thanks to our kids' subscription book boxes. Here's a few of our favorite ideas to get your own group started.
1. Start with a Small Group
A great kids book club size is around 4-5 children that are about the same age and reading level. By sticking to a smaller group, you'll have an easier time organizing a meetup.
2. Choose a Theme
Once you have your group, decide the theme and level to follow. Do these kids love dinosaurs or exploring fantasy lands? Are these advanced readers or do they require a bit more enthusiasm?
3. Take Turns Hosting
To keep things interesting, switch locations for meetings. A standard public point (like the library or the park) might be ideal if parents are unable to host in their homes.
4. Add Games or Crafts
While adult book clubs are usually focused on analyzing the book with a beverage in hand, that's definitely not the same for kids book clubs. Plan a corresponding craft or game to go hand-in-hand with the books they are reading. It's all about having fun!
