Personalized DIY Craft Projects for Adults Using Affordable Supplies

Christmas ornaments are one of my favorite DIY crafts for adults to make. With just a little work, you will have beautiful unique pieces for your tree. For these ornaments, I started with some alphabet beads, spelled out believe and faith, but you could use any words, and glued them together. Now take a clear ornament, add some faux snow, a little greenery, some glitter table scatter, and one of the words. Snap the top back on, add a simple bow, and a ribbon for hanging. That easily, you have gorgeous, personalized ornaments for your tree or for gifts.
For this project, we're going to use a small sign, some wording that I designed and printed, some carbon paper, some graphic illustration markers, some scrapbook paper left from another project, some buttons, some white chalk paint, a glue gun and some glue sticks, and some tools. These DIY crafts for adults use affordable supplies to create custom home decor. First, remove the hanger and use a heat gun on the edges to soften it up so you can pop the back and middle pieces out. Paint the frame with a solid coat of white chalk paint. Trace the backing onto scrap paper, cut it out, and glue the scrapbook paper to it using a glue stick. Transfer the wording to the project using carbon paper and a pencil, then fill in the letters with graphic illustration markers. Glue on buttons to complete the project.
For this simple DIY craft for adults, use some straight sticks about six inches long, twine, mini roses, a glue gun and glue sticks. Lay the sticks out in a diamond shape with a little overhang on each end. Glue one stick to the other two and let it dry. Flip it over, use hot glue to secure twine around three corners. For the fourth corner, wrap the twine up to create a basket, using hot glue as you go. Trim the twine once the basket is deep enough. Use a lighter to burn off loose twine hairs. Clip mini roses and stick them into the twine basket. For a hanger, cut a piece of twine, tie a knot in the end, run it through the V, and pull it through the loop.
Take some small flowers and cut off leaves to glue in the corner. Cut the back off a rose to glue on top. Add some photos and the project is ready. A hanger could be added if desired.
